About Dr. Stephanie Spano, M.D.

Stephanie Spano, M.D., believes that taking care of her patients is a privilege, and she prioritizes treating every patient with empathy. She works hard to create a thorough treatment plan for each patient, and delivers a high quality of care before, during, and after her minimally invasive endovascular procedures.

Dr. Spano earned her medical degree from the State University of New York, Downstate College Medical School in Brooklyn, New York, in 2016. She then went on to complete her internship at Mather Hospital, Port Jefferson, NY, followed by her residency in diagnostic radiology at Stony Brook University Hospital in 2021. Her residency included the Early Specialization in IR pathway. She completed a fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at New York Presbyterian – Weill Cornell Medical Center & Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York in 2022. During that time, Dr. Spano received two postdoctoral clinical fellow academic appointments in interventional radiology at Presbyterian Hospital and Columbia University Irving Medical Center, both in New York, NY.

Dr. Spano is a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR). SIR is an American national organization of physicians, scientists, and allied health professionals dedicated to improving public health using minimally invasive, image-guided therapeutic interventions for disease management. In addition, Dr. Spano has attended the Venous Symposium and the International Symposium on Endovascular Therapy. She has presented research completed during her residency to the American Roentgen Ray Society and the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Society of Europe.
